How to plan your life and career at the end of the year?
Hey friend,
Happy Holidays, I hope you have planned some self-care as we discussed last week. Since next week is the last week of the year, please reflect on how the year went and what you can do differently and start planning your 2023.
You can use a framework called OKRs.
What are OKRs?
OKRs are Objectives and Key Results. It's a framework where you plan the objectives for your team, decide the key results and what projects you will take on to achieve those objectives.
But this framework can also be applied to your Life. 👏
Create OKRs for your Life Goals, not just your career
Using the image below, you can decide where you want to go, how you can get there and what you will do to get there.
This will allow you to be more intentional with your goal-setting and focus.
Remember, OKRs can be personal, financial, fitness or any other area important to you.
Don't go overboard and create 10 goals every 3 months (every quarter). You should pick 2-3 goals and figure out how to achieve them every quarter. This will make them more achievable. ✅
You can use the following questions to help you set those goals and reflect.
Ask yourself these questions 👇
These questions can apply to Career and Life goals.
- What did I say 'yes' to that I should have said 'no' to?
- What stopped me from achieving a specific goal?
- What brought me the most joy?
- Where did I stop myself from excelling, and what can I do better?
- What were my big wins for the year?
- Which behaviour should I change which annoyed my family, partner, or close friends the most?
- Where should I have spoken up more?
Please reply and let me know some of your ambitious Life Goals for 2023. 🚀
Happy Holidays! ✨
